Welcome Baby “J”

Baby “J” at 4 days old. (8 lbs. 15 oz. at birth)
Embryo Adoption Services of Cedar Park is pleased to welcome Baby “J”!

At last! He has finally arrived!

We have been anxiously awaiting this little guy’s birth for several reasons. First of all, last Memorial Day, he was still in the freezer. When I say freezer, I am talking about -200 degrees, in liquid nitrogen. He waited patiently for 4 years, for a mother and father to nourish him. Before he was six cells he took a plane ride. He is the cherished and hoped for blessing from God for a childless couple, living all the way across the country.

This baby is the gift of two extraordinary and selfless people that wanted to give the ultimate gift to another couple. The adopting couple was unable to have children of their own. This baby also has the distinction of being the very first “freezer baby” born to our ministry, Embryo Adoption Services of Cedar Park.

He will lead the way for countless others as time goes by. He is also a sign, and wonder, to all that come to know him. His life defines with certainty that every life is precious, from the very moment of conception. His existence defines that life does in fact, begin at conception. He is and will be for his entire life, a miracle. Every step of the billions he will take during his lifetime, will be a miracle step.

At this point we can only imagine what God has called this child to do in his lifetime. This is a special child, for his own reasons. So is every child, in the freezer, or carried in the womb. Every child, no matter the circumstances of his or her conception, is special to God. Every child has a special calling, uniquely designed for greatness, “for such a time as this”.

The overwhelming love of God, the redemptive power of God, to re-set any “situation” by His grace and mercy, always provides for a miracle within the child, regardless of how that child was conceived. Every embryo matters to God. That’s why we are doing this. God already see the days and the potential destiny that can be lived, in every human embryo. He created us, and He loves us.

An embryo is nothing more or less than a tiny human being, a person, an individual. An embryo is already male or female.  An embryo already has hazel eyes, or not. An embryo, has programmed within it, how to make a placenta. An embryo can be adopted by any woman of any race, of any blood type. The embryo has, and makes it’s own blood, and has it’s own blood type. An embryo is a complete and total individual, like no other ever created in the history of mankind. Even identical twins have some variations.

“I knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb” Psalm 139:13 This is just one verse of many, teaching us about God’s relationship to us. God is omnipotent, His nature in infinite. Miracles and destiny for our future exist in the smallest of entities, even an embryo. Jesus was an embryo, and the Savior of the world. Before He hung on the cross, He was destined to be the Savior of the world.

Jesus as an embryo- It is an interesting and profound contemplation. Pastor Joe Fuiten, Senior Pastor of Cedar Park Church, and co-founder of Embryo Adoption Services of Cedar Park, highlights this every year, at his time. My husband Jeff and I are grateful to Pastor Joe for walking this road with us and supporting the conceptualization and birth of Embryo Adoption Services of Cedar Park. Surely the Lord is in this thing.

Pastor Joe was on his way to a conference and stopped by to see the brand new babe, just 10 hours old. So Pastor Joe was the first person to see this baby other than the parents! Grandma had not even been there yet! I love to see the fingerprints of God. It’s great to see and realize the Lord has gone before us and that He has prepared this for us, in advance. Another sign from Him that we are on the right path. We are so grateful.

The day after this beautiful boy was born, we received word-another miracle freezer baby is on the way! Maybe even twins this time!! We will keep you posted, and send you more pictures as well! We have many more families that will be receiving and transferring their embryos this spring. Keep them in your prayers! Watch and wait, and see “What the Lord has done”.
